Catechetics India, a quarterly periodical containing concepts for the work of catechesis and religious instruction in India, was introduced by NITIKA Don Bosco in August 1983. It promoted articles around the following topics:.
It also included lesson plans, news, opinion pieces, audio-visual aids, and other unique elements in addition to scholarly papers. It persisted in being the top catechetical review in the nation. However, from the year 2014 to 2018, the journal was inactive owing to a number of unforeseen situations. In order to reach a bigger audience, it was then revived in August 2018 but this time in magazine style. The 12 sections of the newly formatted issue of Catechetics India, each prefixed with the letters CAT, include catechesis on the Bible, the most recent doctrines of the Catholic Church, liturgy, church symbols, faith in family, cinema catechism, needs of youth, and catechism of activity. The magazine's substance is very different from the older journal format. This quarterly magazine is meant for every Catechist and every Catholic Family. It is a magazine to learn, love and live our faith. It is a magazine to use, muse and amuse! It is meant for self not for shelf!

The readers for the Mass were from Berhampur parish, and the youth from Polsonda parish led the Prayer of the Faithful. Following the celebration of the Mass, participants congregated near the Don Bosco hostel for lunch.
In the afternoon, stage events were held, beginning with the veneration of the Word of God, which included garlanding and the lighting of lamps, accompanied by a hymn to the Holy Spirit. Four representatives from each parish were then invited on stage for the Catholic Catechism Quiz Competition. A Bible Quiz was held for both young people and adults in celebration of Word of God Sunday at Nitika Don Bosco, Kolkata. The quiz focused on the four Gospels of the New Testament. Around 20 participants, inspired by Pope Francis's exhortation, dedicated the day to celebrating, studying, and sharing the word of God. Their enthusiastic participation made the competition both interesting and entertaining. Special thanks to Sr. Jayarani, Mrs. Moushumi Gomes, and Mrs. Charmine Bajaj for their dedicated efforts in preparing and organizing this event efficiently. The winners were awarded Bibles as a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance, and all participants expressed happiness for being part of the celebration.
